For Zion's sake will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem's sake I will not rest, until the righteousness thereof go forth as brightness, and the salvation thereof as a lamp that burneth.
The lesson gleaned from Luther's legacy, for me is like King Solomon. God greatly used Martin in his early years, and his later failures are disheartening. However, historians tell us right before his death Luther quoted: "Into Thy hands I commit my spirit, thou hast redeemed me, O Lord God of truth." (Psalm 31:5) My hope is that like Peter, he found God can restore a ministry that had denied the Lord.
