HOLINESS

| True Holiness is to Love God and your neighbor as yourself |
"Exalt
the LORD our God, and worship at his holy hill; for the LORD our God is
holy" (Psa.99:9),
"Give
unto the LORD the glory due unto his name, worship the LORD in the beauty of
holiness" (1 Chronicles 16:29),
"And
the four beasts… rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God
Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come" (Revelation 4:8),
God is
holy! His holiness is the state of sinlessness and being totally free from the
influence of the world, Holiness is a Spirit, for Jesus was declared to be
".,.the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of
holiness,,," (Rom, 1:4), "But as he which hath called you is holy, so
be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy;
for l am holy" (1 Pet, 1:15, 16),
"For
God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness" (1 Thess,
4:7).
While
holiness is being free from sin, one is also to "perfect holiness in the
fear of God" (2 Cor, 7:1), There is no "experience" associated
with perfecting holiness unto the Lord, The disciple, convicted by the Word of
God by the Holy Ghost, to break and remain free from worldly customs and
traditions, is perfecting holiness unto the Lord.
"Thy
testimonies are very sure: holiness becometh thine house, O LORD, for
ever" (Psa. 93:5),
"That
he would grant unto us, that we being delivered out of the hand of our enemies,
might serve him without fear, In holiness and righteousness before him, all the
days of our life" (Luke 1:74, 75),
Before
the Lord comes, the disciple must, "Follow peace with all men, and
holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord" (Heft 12:14) .
The Word
of God places strong emphasis on sanctification and holiness, To live by every
word that proceeds out of the mouth of God is to live a sanctified and holy
life.
If you have never accepted Jesus Christ here are three steps you need to take to be saved:
You must admit you are a sinner, confess your sin to Jesus, repent (turn from all you know is wrong), ask Jesus to come in your heart, and begin to follow Jesus by reading and obeying his word and go to a bible believing church that teaches his word. And Tell Someone What Christ Jesus Has Done For You (Rev 12:10)
